Tomorrow for tomorrow's people - He ao mo nga whakatupuranga o apopo
A change of government leads to policy and funding changes, throw in matters like climate change and we can say the winds of change are certainly upon us. It is important for those working in public health to come together to share and inform one another regarding public health direction and what we can offer the people of New Zealand.
The conference "Tomorrow for tomorrow's people - He ao mo nga whakatupuranga o apopo" is about encouraging those who work with communities to share their stories of today to help build a healthy future for tomorrow
We are honoured to be able to hold the 2010 conference at Turangawaewae Marae. It is the official royal residence of the Māori King, Tuheitia Paki and was the home of the indomitable Princess Te Puea. For those who have never visited Turangawaewae this is a great opportunity to experience the marae's manaakitanga. What greater place is there for a marae experience and to be guided gently through the protocols?
So, come join us at the home of the Maori king to explore the conference themes of: health and environment, sustainable development, and making the connection:
Go now and mark 22-24 September in your diary, go set budgets and book your tickets to join us for spring in the Waikato.
